Quick Tips for Edius 6: How to Batch Convert Your Media

Edius 6 is probably the best video editing software program around, when it comes to "Real Time" play-back of almost any type of media that you can throw at it. However, when you are working with media from some of the new camera formats, you may find that you may need a fairly new, fast computer to achieve this capability. If you find yourself working with an older, slower computer, and you discover that your video does not playback in real time, you may want to try converting your media to the Canopus HQ AVI file format. This is a file format that is "native" to Edius, and there is a good chance that if you convert your media to this format, you will find that it will playback without stuttering, even on the older, slower computers. In this tutorial, we will show you how you can "batch convert" a large number of files all at once, letting your computer do all the work while you take a coffee break!
