How can I get Edius to remember my in and out selections?

Every time I open up a clip that I have worked with before, my "in and out" points are gone! Is there any way to have Edius keep my "in and out" selections that I have chosen?

Yes. Look for the "Update Bin" button at the far right end of the icon strip under the player monitor. (Or, use the keyboard shortcut, Shift/Ctrl/B)

This will update the clip in your bin with your selected in and out points.

If you do not see this icon under your play window, it is because the size of your play window is not large enough to include the icon. In that case, click on the small down arrow at the far right of your icon strip, under your play monitor, to display the options that are not visible due to the small size of your "Preview Window" (If you can, stretch out your preview window to reveal the missing icons.)

A handy option that you have here is the ability to add the clip, with the new in and out, back to the bin, as a new refrence to the clip. Click on the small down arrow icon next to the Update Bin icon, to reveal the dropdown option, "Add Clip to Bin", or simply use the keyboard shortcut.

You can make as many of these reference clips as you like. They do not make duplicates of the actual clip or take up any extra hard drive space. This gives you the ability to easily organize clips that may have more then one good shot on them.
